Convert int to string/varchar 1

I'm using a third party tool and it doens't like that I am trying to enter an int as a property, so I want to try and convert the int to a string to see if that works.

How do you convert int to string using Mysql?

Just found my answer,
CONVERT(interface_id, CHAR(8)) AS id
