I look and all formulas from excel are from seconds to hrs and mins. Is there any excel formula for HH:MM to Secs.

ex. 1:00 = 360 seconds

Thanks,

It's simpler than you think

=CellReference*3600

(you will need format the cell to General, or number)

1 hour is equal to 3,600 seconds, not 360 - but that was probably just a typo.

Unless my brain is really broken today, you will need to multiply by 86400 (60*60*24 - that's 60 seconds in a minute * 60 minutes in an hour * 24 hours in a day), not 3600 (60*60).

xlhelp:[tt]
1:00:00 * 3600 = 150
1:00:00 * 86400 = 3600[/tt]

No, John. It's my brain that's fried. You are absolutely right.

Unless you actually want the number of seconds to feed into another calculation, you can just format the cell as [blue][tt][/tt][/blue]

Enjoy,
Tony
