Hello,

I have basic Photoshop knowledge. I am working with version 6 (full version). I have a full-color RGB image. If I convert it to grayscale I will have an image with a palette that goes from #000000 to #FFFFFF, or black to white. What I would like to do however, is have the palette go from #003366 to #FFFFFF (dark blue to white) -- in essence creating a color-scale, instead of gray. This would basically tint, or scale, the image to a particular color, in this case a dark blue. I hope that makes sense. What is the easiest, or best, way to do this?

Thank you,

Create a Duotone.

After you have converted to greyscale then go to Image>Mode>Duotone. Double click the black swatch in the options box that opens and change it to your dark blue!
