hi
new ns1000 - as ip mode
i convert from tde200 to ns1000 with stack card.
but the ns1000 after upload word as "standard type" and not "ip mode" as i configured.

(NOW I GOT ONLY 8 VIRTUAL IP PHONE CARDS)

Anyone know?

You have to change the backup file and restore the new file

With the off line file you open the backup of the system only different is to click on the system capacity selection box under file name and ok. It will then open a box giving you the 3 options. Select ip mode and ok.

The new file will open and you can check everything is ok. Save that file and upload to the system and reboot.

thanks for the reply,

i didnt find where to change - "you open the backup of the system only different is to click on the system capacity selection box under file"

yes i got OFF LINE
this is what i done:

new ns 1000 configure as ip mode
convert tde backup to ns1000 file (with convertor)
open offline as new and make file import of backup
when i transfer the file to pbx its back to NORMAL amd not IP MODE

Ok, so if you download the backup file and open it in the offline tool where you browse for the file for system, there is a system capacity check box. Press ok and it should give you an option to change it to ip only

I not sure though if you can have ipmode with a tde attached

I don't have one to test, so have you tried to change it and upload to the system

in the picture attached it shows the steps to converting the file. if you do that, when it opens check it has changed.

Up load and see if it accepted the change to IP mode

After saying all that, the original question is how do I change the system back to ip-mode.

When I looked at the bigger picture, the fact is you can't have more than 256 IP - PT phones on one NS1000.
To have the 640 IP-PT phones, it has to be across more than one NS1000 in one look network.

So the short of it is, even if it shows 20 slots, you still can only use 8 IP extension cards on one system.
640 is the max of extensions you can have on the 1000, but that depends on the type of phones and gateways attached.
