I have a pdf that I need to edit slightly but because my computer doesn't have the font installed, I'm not able to do anything. I can't find the font online anywhere. Is there a way to convert that font to one I have installed so I can get around this issue? I am using Acrobat 8 Standard.

What is the name of the offensive font?

"Don't be irreplaceable. If you can't be replaced, you can't be promoted."

The pdf has the following fonts which due not appear in the font list of the machine running Acrobat:

Helvetica, Helvetica Bold and Nadianne.

I'm not sure why I'm not able to edit the document due to the missing fonts. I'm not trying to retype or change the text. I am simply trying to delete some of the text.

Have you checked "embed all fonts" in Tools|Job Options|Fonts?

"Don't be irreplaceable. If you can't be replaced, you can't be promoted."

I don't have a Job Options under Tools in Acrobat 8 Standard.
