Convert excel file to tab delimited text file

I want to ask if how can i convert an excel file to tab delimited text file using powerbuilder

Hi Paul,

What you can do is use OLE to
open excell
open the file
and then
1) select and copy all of the text into clipboard and convert into tab separated file, or ...
2) use the 'save as', choosing 'tab separated file' from excel itself.

If You need so, I'll try to help you.

To obtain the right (visual-basic) ole commands, what you can do is: open excel (the normal way, not from powerbuilder) record a macro that does exactly what you want to do from pb with ole. Edit the macro after grabbing it.
