Has anyone been successful in converting an AutoCad drawing into a PDF file? We have tried using Acrobat distiller, but without much success.

I use Acrobate distller and it seems to work okay. I haven't every really had any problem out of it.

What happens?

What Autocad are you running??

WHAT PROBLEMS HAVE YOU HAD WITH DISTILLER- WHEN PLOTTING THERE IS NOT MANY SIZES TO CHOOSE FROM, HOWEVER THERE IS A WAY AROUND THIS, FOR 24x36 (JUST AN EXAMPLE)

PLOT TO DISTILLER
GO TO PROPERTIES
CUSTOM PROPERTIES
ADVANCED
PAPER SIZE- CHANGE TO POST SCRIPT CUSTOM PAPER SIZE
ENTER YOUR PAPER SIZE
OK 4 TIMES AND THEN CHECK YOUR PLOT AREA SIZE IT SHOULD WORK

HOPE THIS HELPS-ERIC @ BENCHMARK ENGINEERING INC.

I have spent countless hours messing with pdf's from ACAD. I have acrobat 6 pro which has "better" support for ACAD but still fount it to be real quirky. I purchased AcroPlot and it rocks. It was very consistant and intuitive to the CAD needs. Especially usefull for batching entire folders into a single pdf.
