Convert .DOC to .PDF and Keep the Footers

How do I convert a .DOC to a .PDF and still keep the footer last printed on (then the date). In Word you can have a last printed on date in the footer this will update the footer every time someone prints out a copy. Can you still have this feature if you convert with the 5.0 Distiller?
