I have a Clipper program which was using the ntx driver. I want to now use the cdx index. I added the library to the link script and that works but I can no longer read the memo fields. Is there something else I have to do like convert the dbt memo fields to foxpro style files?

Thanks,
Dan

Create a program that uses the ntx driver for your original dbf/dbt files and at the same time uses the cdx driver for a set dbf/fpt files with the same structure and copy the fields from the ntx set to the cdx set.

Not sure how to do this. I thought you can only set up one type of rdd at a time.
Also, is there a way to create a foxpro database from my original database or do I have to enter all fields by hand (there are about 60 fields)

Thanks,
Dan

You can setup several rdd's in one program.
copy the structure of the ntx-rdd to a file in the cdx-rdd
Then copy each record from the ntx-rdd to the cdx-rdd file.

If you don't know how to do this you could zip the dbf and ftp and send it to me and I'll convert it to foxpro dbf/fpt.

You could send it to:

n o c u r e A T h c c n e t . n l

(leave out the spaces and replace A T with the @ sign.)

Actually it turned out to be easy. I opened the files in Foxpro and then did a copy to another directory. This created the ftp files.
