Convert Date to number

I have a date say 7 October 2005. I want to return it as the numbered day of the week in this case Friday which is day 5, my week starts on a Monday. How do I do this I use crystal 8.5

I don't know if you have it in CR8.5

DayOfWeek ({YourTable.Date})

Mo

Since Sunday is the default day one, you would need to use:

dayofweek({table.date},crMonday})

...in order to have a 5 returned for Friday.
