I'm trying at the moment to convert a normal date format like this one 15/03/2003 in a normal number like "352000"

I'm try to achieve a simple formula to calculate date and time difference instead to create a big report

Is anyone came across this problem before

Thanks in advance

What is the correlation between 15/03/2003 and 352000?

What version of Crystal are you using? There may a function already available for what you want to accomplish.

no there is not a correlation between them

I'm try to run a report in Crystal report 8.5 that is showing me a difference time between two dates value
For example a long is taken to close a specific action

So have in the database two dates (Start and End dates)

I tried Datediff formula but is not working, probably for how the data is structured in the P4 database
I was thinking if a convert the dates in numbers will be easier run the report and calculate the difference

DateDiff has always worked for me, and I'd have thought it was your best solution. Also something that displays as a date is a date, most of the time. What did you try and what result did you get?

There is a Date function that converts non-date fields. Try that, if your data is string or whatever.
