Does anyone know how or if its possible to convert a bitmapt to a vector graphic in Photoshop 6. I know a way to do it in Flash - should I just stick w/ doing it that way??

Thanks!

Hi,

What exactly do you mean by convert to vector? If you mean press a button and make a perfect vector image then the answer is no. You can use auto-trace in Illustrator or use the pen tool to trace something in both Illustrator or Photoshop. If you can do it the easiest in flash then you should do that.

Hope this helps!

If your art in PS is really simple without a lot of tonal gradations, you can select areas and convert the selections to paths, which can then be exported out to Illustrator or Freehand, but importing the art into a drawing package, setting it as background and tracing is the more likely way to go. l
