Hi All..Happy New Year!
I need advice please. I have people that connect to an asp page. I need to take the application down once a month for maintenance. I would like to create a batch file or something that will point the page to a "fake" html. Maybe something as simple as a page that states "Application is temporarily down. Please try again in 10 minutes". This way they won't panic when they see "page can't be displayed". Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Best Regards,
Don

If you have access to the server settings you can specify a list of pages. Usually you have a couple set by default that start with index or default but you can add to this so the server uses the next available page if these arent present.

Place a file named app_offline.htm in the root of the application. All ASP.NET requests will automatically be routed to this page and you can perform your maintenance while this file exists.
