Hello - MS Office 2007.

The graphs in the Powerpoint document were originally created in Excel. User request in if they can be copied/converted to be editable in Excel.

I tried a basic copy of the the powerpoint graph to excel but certainly not editable as in removing a section, etc.

Is this possible?

Thanks in advance

Hi,

PP Graph nas a DATA TABLE source.

Copy the TABLE into Excel

Are they editable in PowerPoint? If so, then PowerPoint contains the Source Data which you could send to the user.

But in most PowerPoints I've seen that include charts, the charts themselves are just pictures, copied from Excel and pasted into the presentation. If that's what you have, then you're out of luck because you don't have an interactive chart, you only have a picture.

In Powerpoint, when clicking on the graph, it does not seem editable at all. When copied to Excel (paste Special) it only gives options to copy it as such a PNG, JPEG, etc. This means is only a picture.

Thanks

You are up the creek without a paddle.

Caballero1: Yep, you just have a picture in the presentation. Sorry. I'd go to the source and ask them to share the source data with you.

Skip: Maybe I should make a resolution to beat you and your damned nimble fingers at least once this year. *grumble grumble*

Regardless, Happy New Years to you, too, my friend! [cheers]
