BCM 50 rls 5.
I have a customer that wants to hook up another Fax and they are out of Analog station ports but they do have a few IP Seats that they are not using. Does anyone know if the product below might fit their needs and if not do you have any other suggestions? I did say they could use an ATA but they want to use the IP Seat if at all possible.

This device will probably work. It's similar to what cable companies use to provide analog phone service to homes. You would need to get it to register to the BCM first though.

Because it's a SIP compliant device, you could theoretically get it to register to the BCM (just not as a Unistim set). If you do, you're away to the races.

Personaly, I've never used one so someone who has can correct me on how it works. I would call Patton first and see if they support connecting it to a BCM. I'm sure they've tried as the BCM is probably the most widely deployed IP system out there. They probably have a procedure to do it.

Nice device though. Let us know if you get it working.

I don't think it will work; check Algo Solutions, they design parts for Nortel like loud ringers, and have produced an "IP ATA", unistim compliant.

Just got off the phone with Patton support and they say it is for SIP end points only. Still might have to get one and try it though. yankblan I did check with Algo and they have one that connects via a 2050 softphone or the I11xx series with USB port. But nothing that will take just an IP Seat and make it Analog unless of course the IP Seat is SIP.
