Convert .ai to .pdf

When I convert my illustrator file to pdf, some pictures and graphics are not included on the pdf file. How can I make the pdf appear as the illustrator print-out does?

Thanks in advance, I've been struggling for hours over this.

After merging all the layers, it saves all graphics to .pdf. Too bad this took me 6 hours to figure out.
