Does anyone know how to convert an existing Access 10 (XP) database into a .exe file? We recenty purchased Office XP Developer Edition.

Thank you,

Jeremy

Unless they've changed Access dramatically, it can not be compiled into its own .exe. Developer should help you in dealing withe Access runtime. I'm not familiar with anything after Access 2000 so I may be way off base.

Developer won't let you turn an Access Database into an exe file. You can use it to install Access Runtime, which allows you to run a database without a full copy of Access.

Is installing Access Runtime a "clear-cut" process?

Jeremy

Not too bad. There's a packaging and deployment wizard that sets it up. You end up with a professional looking installation program.

I've only used '97, but I think they're similar.
