At work I have Access 97 and at home Access 2000. Obviously Access will convert a 97 file to a 2000 file automatically -- but how can I convert from a 2000 file back to 97 so I can work at home? Thanks in advance. Jim

HI

I have clients that run 97 and clients that run 2000. I solve the problem by loading both on my system. Disk space is cheap now days.

When you want to work on databases from work exec 97, if you are working on something that requires 2000 exec it.

Even if you could convert 97 back to 2000 there is another problem. You can develop somethng in 2000 that will not work in 97. While you are at home the new module is working great but when you try it at work (maybe in front of your boss) it fails miserably.

Just a thought
