Has anyone tried to convert a 3300 AX to a 200ICP AX? Every time I try I get the following:
VxWorks

Copyright 1984-2002 Wind River Systems, Inc.

CPU: Mitel Embedded PPC82XX F300
Runtime Name: VxWorks
Runtime Version: 5.5.1
BSP version: 2.2/10

WDB Comm Type: WDB_COMM_END
WDB: Ready.

Executing S10startup script

GetMyProcessorId script command not found in the symbol table
Illegal command statement at line 7

Any ideas? This is with the latest 5.0 release from Mitels site.

How are you going about the process?

It looks like you have the startup script for an MCD, but are running the code for the SX200.

There was still the old 3300 OS on the flash disk. I wipped it out and redid the install flash and now get this:

VxWorks

Here is the boot commands:

I think you're making a huge leap of faith that this will work at all.

Does Mitel say this is possible?

Set the other line to "FixPartition", that should re-partition the drive. Or at least it does on the 3300, not sure about the SX200ICP, but you're out of options now anyway....;)

Although I'd love to hear about success. I suspect that it will be as impossible as trying to turn a 3300 CXi into a 200 CXi.

Hmmm... try putting a 200 AX iButton into it.
Sooo doubt it!

You can't believe anything you read... unless of course it's this sentence.

Got it.

Here is what I had to do. The vxworks boot line now reads:
[VxWorks Boot]: @

boot device : ata=auto
unit number : 0
processor number : 0
host name : AX
file name : /partition1/Kts8250.vx
inet on ethernet (e) : 192.168.1.2:ffffff00
host inet (h) : 192.168.1.9
gateway inet (g) : 192.168.1.1
user (u) : ftp
ftp password (pw) : @
flags (f) : 0x0
target name (tn) : AX
other (o) : motfcc

To upgrade the software required a second 200ICP. I put the flash card in a 200ICP MX and then on the upgrade software flash renamed the AX files to MX. Did the install on the MX, then moved the flash to the AX and it booted up with no errors.

I am currently upgrading the bootrom from CDE as I believe it was my problem getting it to load.
