Hi,
I have some 1603 phone which was converted to sip. I want to converted it back to h.323. Can anyone show me howto ?
Thx and regards,
Lee

go download the h323 firmware, pop it on a http server and point the phone to it.

hfs is a easy http server i like cause its up in a minute. tftpd32 does DHCP, make option 242 HTTPSRVR=192.168.1.2 (if that's your IP) and the phone will ask for 16xxupgrade.txt from the server, which will tell it what firmware it should run.

Worst case, if the default admin password was changed and it was locked to some other vlan, wireshark what it's DHCP request is tagged at on layer 2 and change your data switch to match whatever it was stuck and locked at accordingly.

I have tried to modify the 16xxupgrade.txt as following.
SET APPNAME hb1603ua1_3110a.bin

I found the phone has retrieved the file from http server. However, it don't do anygrade but just restart.

You don't need to modify the upgrade file. Each firmware download comes with a upgrade file that points each model of phone to each particular .bin that they need to operate at that load.

A phone should always ask for the upgrade script and if it is running the load of firmware specified in there, it just continues, otherwise it tries to download the firmware specified in that script.

Place the full contents of the zip file on your http server. Set the phone to SIG = H.323. Reboot the phone.
