Having worked on an replicated application built in MS Access 2000 for what seems like an eternity, I unsuspectingly ran into the fact that one of the branches uses Access 1997. Somebody, please tell me that I can downgrade the desing master to Access 1997 without major complications. Please, also tell me how to do it.

Access 2000 allows you to convert a database to Access 97. Select Tools | Convert Database | To Prior Access Database Version.

There may be some errors in the conversion so you'll need to open the database in Access 97 to make sure everything works as it should. Terry L. Broadbent
