conversion problem

I have a user who created a certificate in MSPublisher; cut and pasted the whole image into powerpoint; then cut and pasted that image from powerpoint into word. Now when we try to create a pdf (we have a full version of Acrobat)all that converts is half of the background that initially came from publisher. It looks as if it's converting all the text boxes, but none of them appear on the pdf...? The same thing happens when I print to the distiller...

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Groan.... why on earth did she use such a complicated procedure - and in MS programs of all things. Can't you create the PDF directly from Publisher? or were more things added in the other apps?
