Can you convert data written in foxpro 2.6 into visual foxpro 7.0? Can you do this by compiling the data from a 16 bit code to a 32 bit code? Will the data get corrupted?

Data convertion shall not pose a problem. I am trying to view this as you require to recomiple the programe/codes of 2.6. As a code recompilation shall not also make any problem, once the copilation goes smooth. You should try to recompile all files inclusive of components.

However the problem lies in the behaviour pattern of the commands. There could be different way of functioning of some commands, whereas the intention at the 2.6 version level could be something else.

As always we feel, the best course shall be to re-code.
Best of luck :)
