Hello friends,
I am not YET a user of FM-Pro, and am trying out the trial version to decide if I will benefit by adopting it as a text data management app. (I am experienced with WordPerfect and Visual FoxPro.) So far, I really like FM-Pro and would like to pursue it further.
But... the deal-breaker question I'm having trouble with is whether I can import WordPerfect (V9.0) merge file records into FM-Pro and still retain the roman, italic, bold and underline formatting?
The subject WP file is 1.5MB with about 750 records of 28 fields each.
It appears that FM will not import WP directly; so I have tried various intermediaries (e.g. .DIF and .TXT files). But these (expectably) lose their type style formatting in the process.
Can this be done with FM-Pro?
Thanks for any help.
