I need to convert some 500 files from pagemaker 5.0 to Word, and they contain text boxes, and other graphic information. I need some conversion tool. Word is not helping and on the msoffice website, no help.

Any ideas?

you almost certainly need to convert from mif to doc ... and almost certainly need a tool. the other news is that, from my experience, you won't get a particularly good conversion if the source doc is at all complex.

here are a couple of starting points for you

Ben, it sure looks like PAGEMaker to me, and not FRAMEMaker.... LOL

Anywayz. The only way I know how is to open the pagemaker file, click on the text, right-click and choose Edit Story. Select it all (ctrl+a) and copy and paste into Word. Sorry, but you'd have to do the same with all the individual textboxes too.

I cannot think of a way outside of a VB program written especially for it to do what you want.

After searching, I see lots of places on the web that want to *convert to Word*, but it's basically saving as plain text and reformatting all over again. Anne Troy
