Conversion from Numeric to Decimal on Import

I am using the DTS Import/Export Wizard to import selected tables from our Production region to our Training region.
The task completes successfully, but converts all the fields in the 'Source' table of type numeric(5) to decimal(5).
This has an impact on a crystal report I am using in that the linkages are failing.
Any ideas ? Thanks.

The table field you are importing into is probably defined as decimal.

You can try casting the value CInt(field_name) during import by using an ActiveX script but this won't help if importing into a decimal field.

What's the impact on a crystal report, decimal and numeric are synonyms in sql server, should think it wouldn't make a difference for crystal.
