Hi everyone,

My company have just setup a bunch of new desks and installed Converse 1300 telephones on the desks. On the switch they're setup as 2500 types and won't allow CNDA (call party name display). They switch themselves back to denied whenever i set it to allow.
So i was wondering if anyone else has setup 1300s on a Meridian switch and if they knew what type they should be setup as (they're analogue) and whether that would affect the CNDA setup?
Also there's CNAA (CLASS: calling name delivery) but setting anything in there to allow causes SCH1885.
Help!

thanks
Tim

Cant have name displays on analogs without class-modems (and a healthy payment to nortel for licence, unless of course they are companion sets.
Look in your NTP's under class modems. Too long to explain here.

Correct. You must have CLASS modem cards in the switch and the proper software packages to support it. Be aware there is a problem with CLASS sets and message waiting lights not working on 3.0 and above that requires a PI patch from Nortel. If you are not using Nortel analog sets the patch is not free. Either way it requires special authorization from Nortel to release the patch for your system.
