IS-IT--Management
2 Contivity 5000 routers, both with identical configs (baring the specifics like IP, DNS, etc). Both on 7_05.300 code.
What appears to be happening is that for some people, their authentication packets look to be fragmenting and getting lost/rejected. The issue is only on one system, and never on the other. This happens at the very start of the process and will return them a "remote host not responding" error.
This issue is not uniform or consistent. People on differing ISP's and connection types get it, with a variety of connection speeds. It is a bit more common on DSL, but not restricted to it. Adjusting the MTU on their system does nothing to remedy it.
To further compound issues, for some people it is consistent, they never get by it, for others it is infrequent and intermittent, and for still others it happens every time they try to authenticate, and then suddenly goes away.
Anyone have any ideas, or encountered something similar?
