Controlling the height and width of a gif

Hi,

I was wondering if there is a way to change the height and width of a gif and keep everything proportionate. I've tried using the height and width properties (i.e. gif.height = 123) of the gif but keep getting invalid use of property. I am tirying to place the gifs in a msFlexGrid. I can do that, but now I need to make the gif(s) completely fit into the cells for whatever size I make the cells. Any ideas would be appreciated.
