I hav a server running windows 2000 server connecting to the net. i wish to control my system (Shut down, restart, etc) this server from anywhere in the world without using any third party application. Is this possible? if so please tell me how.

Thanks in advance.

use a rib board - it's hardware based

except for that then you could use terminal services but you would need to open up the port on the firewall
