I have a few spreadsheets I'm rendering and I'd like to have the contents viewable on a single page.

Is there a was to control the page with in Excel to prevent users from having to scroll to the right?

Thanks

Excel is a spreadsheet where page width is pretty meaningless. I do not understand your requirements though.

If this is an Excel problem, you can probably solve this through a VBA script that fires upon opening the workbook..

Right Excel page width is meaningless until you send it to a printer. The Excel that I'm rendering is not fitting on a page with out manual intervention on my part. We all hate manual intervention right?

As Ties suggests you'll probably need some sort of after-the-fact macro approach. It would be nice to be able to control page setup options like fit-to-page and orientation with a document template on the client, but these settings are embedded in the workbooks and if there's a way to control them I haven't found it yet (in Reportnet, not sure what your environment is). Might be worth opening a case with Cognos. If you do find a configuration-based solution please post it here, it's something I think a lot of folks would be interested in.
