I have an old Compaq Proliant 3000 server running Novell 6.0; everything was fine until the latest reboot: when it was botting up, it gave me a message "POST error:177-Configuration Not Complete Controller Order Not Setup" it then asked me to press F1 to continue or F10 to Work on the configuration. I pressed F1 since there was anything new on the server: no new hardware or software installed. It eventually booted up and everything seems to be fine, but I'm wondering what it was. I can't find exactly what the problem is. Any help will be greately appreciated.
Thanks.

Or maybe the battery on the RAID controller too (if you have one?).

I do have a RAID...do you know how could I check if any of these suggestions could be the problem? I'm lost...
Thanks.

From the console, assuming you have the Compaq utilities on there, you can run CPQIML.NLM.. This will show you any system events that have been logged.

point browser to
you will see all the stuff
you need compaq agents to see this

mind you the 3000 should have a wee lcd display that you can see all the post errors (or was that the 6000?)
