Controller Error after full OS Restore?

Hi

We restored our OS and applications recently from backup. We did this by installing a fresh OS and Veritas client. then we restored local and external drives fully.

Now my question . we didn't have any problems with fresh OS but after we restored from backup ,we started getting Contrller Dead Error...Yes this error was there when we took backup. So the actual problem is not with hardware,we need to change some settings..right? what is that...?

any help is appreciated...
