Guys,

One quick but very big question! Please clarify:

Flash in IE on MAC CANNOT BE MANIPULATED BY JAVASCRIPT?

it says so in a website my boss has found.

I thought it can be controlled by javascript as long as its IE, even on any OS? This was a rude awakening for me coz i use a lot of javascript to control my flash objects. I need confirmation, pls enlighten me.

Thanks,

bignewbie

I smell a conspiracy here. If only I could bring in the people who made MAC and make them answer me this question:

Why does it support javscript manipulation of flash in Netscape and not in IE?

Thanks, old for the link. I havent thought of looking for it in macromedia's website. I was thinking of PetitPal when my boss told me this. I know She is a Mac user and supporter, i wonder if she is designing for the netscape browser.

Now I have to rethink my way of designing flash as my boss insisted we must be compatible with all OS and (if possible) with any browser (im trying to encourage him to drop Netscape coz some of my code works only in IE, and our marketing guy pointed out that Netscape Users are only a fraction compared to IE Users). Im having a hard time figuring out how to make my javascript IE and Netscape compatible, let alone bring flash into the picture.

rudely awakened,
