I was doing a report in Crystal 11 with a calendar format that will list down all the VCD films that customers rented for the particular day of the week/month.

I grouped my report according to customers name and below is the detailed list (in calendar format) of VCD films that the customer rented for a particular day.

the subreport can only display upto 7 items in each page, now I want it to control that when the items is more that 7 then it will overflow to the next page. How can I do this?
Is there a way for me to check the subreport that only 7 items should it will display and the rest will overflow to the next page?

Any help would be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance

I assume you've tried 'Keep Together' from the Section Expert'. (Right-click on the section to get to it.)

You could have a large blank section within the subreport. Suppress it except when a count of something in the detail line is exactly 7.

Or you could have two subreports. The first stops after 7 amd returns a value using a Shared Variable. In a lower section, the second subreport finishes the job if this is necessary.

If you just want to stop items being split between pages, add a 'group' that is distinct for each item. Then check 'Keep Group Together'.
