Control that its parent is Desktop Window Does not work properly.

I have a VB ActiveX Control and I need that it be drawn outside the clipping region of its container so I set its parent to Desktop Window.Now when the control comes up everything is OK but the focus cannot be transferes between the sub controls (e.g. two edit) of the ActiveX control.
What should I do?
