I have routing and alternate routes built. The routing service is activated and everything works fine. My issue is that 2 phones have "services on" on the display. I changed the control set on all lines (VoIO, Target, and copper trunks) to only one phone. That phone has "serices on" in the display, whick is ok, but the phone assigned to port 401 has it too, but I don't know why. If the phone on port 401 is the control set of the phones but not the lines would it still show up? I have a BCM50 R1 with all the latest patched loaded. Any suggestions on where to look?

port 0401 default extn 221 is the control set for all lines and extns

I know that, but I changed the control set to a different extension.

Let me be a little more clear. Exten 6600 is on port 401 (which is the default control set). I made ext 6621, which is on port 406, the control set for all types of lines. When the routing service is active (which is 24 hours a day) both extensions 6600, and 6621 have "Services On" in the display. I don't want that in the display on ext 6600.

Ext 6600 is the control set of the sets but not any lines.

Somewhere in your programming "6600" is still the control set of some of your devices(lines, sets).
Always make sure to assign your receptionnist(or control set)to the first port on your system.ex:port 401 on a bcm50,port 1001 on a Bcm450(if you have a Dsm module in slot 1)or it could be an Ip Phone as well. This way you make sure that you will never have to change the control set which sometimes gives problems.

Try switching the ports and do a DN change reprogram the two sets. This will get your main control set on the first port.Do this if your sure that you have every thing removed fom the other control set. Also have you rebooted?

I have not rebooted but will give it a try. If that doesn't fix it, I will move my control set to port 401.

Remember, there are control sets for sets and lines. Need to clear or change them all.

Ok everyone, thanks for all of your input. Here is what I discovered.

On the BCM50 R1, the control set is always on port 401. If I change the control set to a DN on any other port, both DNs have the "Services On" in the display. I had to swap ports of the DN that I wanted as the control set with the DN on port 401 and then things were ok.

On the BCM50 R2, I was able to change the control set and the display was correct on the appropriate phone. It did not matter what port the DN was on.

On both BCMs, the all had the latest software patches and ALL DNs and LINES (active and inactive)had a control set on a port other than 401.

I have to do the same programming on a BCM R3 tomorrow so I will update with the results.

Thanks again for your input.

I found that on a BCM450 there were no "SERVICES" display when using a routing schedule (auto). Didn't check to see what it does in Manual mode.

Just an FYI..

I have mine set for Automatic. It works great, my only issue was the control set.

Ok.....here is what I experienced.....

BCM50 R1 and BCM50 R3: The DN that is associated with port 401 and any other set that you call the control set will have the "SERVICES ON" in the display.

BCM50 R2: The control set IS NOT tied to port 401.
