When entering data in a date/time field, I use the keyboard shortcut CNTL+SemiColon. It worked until a few days ago. If I go back to a week-old backup of my MDB, it works.

But now, even if I create a new table in the database and add a date field, the attempt at using this keyboard shortcut gives the error message: The expression you entered has a function name that Microsoft Office Access can't find.

I'm using Access 2003 and Windows XP Pro. What could have changed?

I have not encountered this problem, but it sounds as if one of your libraries is missing or damaged. Have you checked the references for anything marked missing? Does the code compile?

And since this (obviously) is something that used to work, and you're using ACC2003, and reports on new bugs are still coming in, the question has to be asked: Was the SP3 update just installed?
