Every time I go open control panel, Explorer.exe gives me an error, saying it or one of its .dll's caused a fault in <unknown>. I've tried re-installing. Can anyone help?

Sounds like a hardware problem. Check your RAM and any add on cards you are using.

which .DLL?

you can, sometimes, check in the c:\windows\sysbckup folder, and replace the corrupted .DLL
