Fellow Members -
Here is the newest development
after I finally identified the culprit for my earlier troubles as RealPlayer, I uninstalled it and removed it entirely from the System files (BTW and strangely enough, the RealPlayer icon still shows in the Control Panel).
Now I have access to Control Panel, but can no longer open the Windows Setup Menu within the Add/Remove; here I get the following message:
"Rundll32 has caused an error in Setupx.dll"
Replacing all this files with untarnished ones does not help, nor dooes MS Support's idea of putting the driver into system.ini.
Any bright ideas?
