Control Extra via scripting languages & IE

Hello all,

I didn't find anything on this in the keyword search, and it doesn't look like there are any faqs so here goes. I'd like to control Extra from a web page with some web language, javascript, vbscript, asp, java, anything really. Is it possible to have control over extra and gather scraped data for use in a web page? I do this sort of thing frequently with Excel & vba. Just wondering if anyone's done this.
