control display size uploaded images

Hi,

Anyone has a good trick to control the display size of uploaded images.

Images bigger then a certain width and height should be displayed in these fixed sizes. Images smaller then the size should be displayed in their original size.

I thought of using a table cell. Is it possible to set the size of a table cell to a fixed width and height regardless the size of the image in it. And, if so will the size of the image adapt to the size of the table cell?

Or is there another trick to get this done?
