hi,
im looking for some kind of specific bandwidth control 3rd party software for my isa array - two isa server 2006 sp1 in a dmz.
i went through all products listed on
every single one works on a per-user basis, but im looking for a product which makes me able to control the bandwidth on a per-protocol or per-content side of view, regardless of the user or ip address of the requester. so ftp and http should be allowed, but http downloads of e.g. quicktime files should have less bandwidth (not just blocked) than real audio, which should get full bandwidth.
for example, bandwidth splitter controls bandwidth per user, but is not able to give specific protocols a given bandwidth, "internet administrator" isn't able to distinguish between media files, either. and so on....
gfi webmonitor would be my favourite, since it is able to block on a per-protocol AND per-content basis, but it just blocks the request instead of giving it a lower bandwidth.
im searching the net for 5 days now, does anyone of you have an idea which software to use? none of the products does really meet my requirements... hope you guys can help me out...
regards,
rafael
