Hello,
I am very new to working with macros. I would like to know if there is a way to control the history settings - recent typing and screen history settings with a macro. I would like to disable these options at the beginning of my macros to make them run faster but I need to be able to enable them back to default at the end as the users need these when the macro is not running. Having the user change these by going to options settings ect.. everytime is not practical or time efficient so I need to know what to put into my VBA macros to turn these on and off. If anyone has any suggestions I would really appreciate it.

BMama,

Check out the HistoryEnable Property in the Extra! help file. I think this will point you in the right direction.

Thanks for your help but I am actually looking for an example of the code that I would put in the VBA macro to turn these settings off. So if you or anyone as any examples of what to program with I would really appreciate it
Thanks
