contrast on M2317 phone

is there any way I can adjust the contrast on an m2317 set? I replaced a phone recently and the user is complaining that the display on her old phone was darker. I've given her three replacement phones so far and still no luck. I don't think I can change it but maybe there's something I don't know (very likely!) thank you very much for your help.

but i can't find it anywhere. I must have to program it but have no idea what the mnemonic is. The partner is getting very upset. any suggestions?

so are you saying i have to program an actual key first? what is the key? i cannot figure it out at all. thank you for your help.

NO U DONT HAVE TO PROGRAMM A KEY, THIS IS A PHONE FEATURE NOT SWITCH. ITS ON THE PHONE YOULL C WHAT ABOUT 5 THIN KEYS JUST UNDER THE DISPLAY. SNOOP AROUND THERE AND U SHOULD FIND IT

but there are no keys (I am looking at a printout of an M2317 set). here goes:

22 CFW
23 AO6
24 CPN
25 CHG
26 TRN

does a Contrast key have to be programmed on one of the empty keys? i appreciate your assistance.

IT'S NOT A PROGRAMMABLE KEY....ITS A HARDWARE FEATURE ON THE PHONE ITSELF..WHEN YOU PLUG THE PHONE IN AND YOU GET YOUR DISPLAY. THEN YOU NEED TO PLAY AROUND WITH THE LONGER THIN KEYS, THE DISPLAY WILL DIRECT YOU. THESE KEYS SHOULD TAKE YOU TO VARIOUS PARTS OF THE FIRMWARE, FOR PROGRAMMING.
YEA LOOK RIGHT UNDER YOUR DISPLAY AND ON THE DISPLAY WHEN THE PHONE COMES TO LIFE. THESE SHOULD GET YOU TO WHERE YOU WNT TO BE. THERE ARENOT REGULAR SIZE KEYS, THERE ARE THINNER AND CONTROL PARTS OF, AND ON THE DISPLAY SCREEN
