Hi,

Am in the process of reviewing the prices of products entered into the Accpac 5.2 system.

We have over 1000 products with around 20 categories. Some categories have contract pricing and in addition some products within categories have different pricing.

I see that our VAR has set up a "Contract Pricing" (the same ) for around 100 companies and they all have entries for the 500 products in the ICCUPR table. So there are 500 X 100 entries. So to update I will have to make 100 updates (for each company) for the 1000 products.

Is this the only way? Is there no way to say set up contract pricing for 1000 products and apply this any (n) number of customers.

Thanks,
Arun

If you have 100 customers, and only 1 of them has special pricing, then you only need to set up 1 contract price. The other 99 customers will use standard pricing. It's that simple.

Thanks. I got that, but what about say adding 25 more customers to Contract Pricing? Especially say updating a price. Say the contract pricing for item 1111 has changed. In the current set up I have to update it 25 times for each customer with contract pricing, not once as I would expect as each of these 25 have the same pricing.

Regards,
Arun

Yes, you're correct, once you set up 25 prices, you have to update it 25 times. But, it's simple to do - Export to Excel, update the price you want, and re-import. It takes a couple minutes, no big deal.
