I am new to Cisco products, and i am trying to get a Laptop running Nortel's Contivity Extranet Software to connect through my Cisco uBR924 Cable modem/Router.

I purchase the cisco router, and i am unable to get it to connect to the VPN. I used to use a plain SMC router, with no problems. Is there something that i am missing in order to let the connection work? Is there anything with NAT or IPSec i need to enable? If so, what do i need to enable? The cisco router is doing NAT and DHCP.

Below is a log file with ip's with the specific ip information taken out.

Make sure the rights ports are open on the router. UDP 500 and protocol 50 and 51. For the looks of the log, seems like one of the phases is getting through but not the second one.

If the router is using NAT and the Contivity is behind the router, does the Contivity has its own public routable IP address? Or are you doing an route from router to Contivity?
