We are tring to connect a Contivity 1010 to a Wanadoo (France telecom)Extense Pro ADSL line. The ADSL is supplied using a bridge device with an ethernet port.

We have obtained an IP addess (by connecting a PC and runnnig up the Wanadoo software), but the IP address is appears to be a broadcast address and the given netmask is 255.255.255.255 with a gateway same as the IP address.

The Contivity 1010 protests about the subnet mask.

We have tried to get more infomation from Wanadoo but they say all we need is the IP address.

Has anyone got any experiance or ideas, how the Contivity should be configured with this type of ASDL solution?

The 1010 does PPPoE as well as Ethernet, maybe you could dispense with the in-line DSL modem and use the CES as the interface?

(just a thought, not 100% sure you could do this with the included interfaces though...and you'd obviously need the config details for France-Telecom's DSL setup).

You could always ask for the latter at
Cheers,
Mike.
