I have a continuous form (form view) and new records are inserted after the last record. I would like a blank record line inserted between two records, then I would be close so I could copy some of the related information to fill out the new record and (2) it would then be next to the record I wanted it to be when done. The only thing I can think of is maybe a pop-up, then sort it. Anyone know of a more direct approach?

Hi

Why not simply:
add your record at the end,
save the bookmark,
requery the form,
repostition onto the record you just added Regards

I don't think I understand what you are saying, you may have to spell it out for me, but if I add the new record at the end, I will not have the record I want to use as a reference which may be a couple hundred records back.

Hi

OK, got you, but why not copy and paste whole 'line', then just edit the pasted line? Regards

I can do it this way if I have to, the drawback to this is when I will fill out the new record I actually use information from 3 or 4 records that are in order, forgot to tell you that.

Hi

I am not aware of any means to insert a new record into the 'middle' of existing records,

but... never say die

how about poping up another form, accept the new data there, and then insert it into the table, that way, you can leave the continuos form open and refer to it (even using copy and paste) while you file in the AddNew Form

Hope this helps Regards
