Can someone tell me, using CDR for SQL Server, how is it supposed to work?? I set it up in a test environment and am not quite getting what it's supposed to do. CV's doc's suck in this area.

1. I see .MDF/,LDF files come over initially but none after the initial synch

1.5 My test server log backups begin to fail after this starts its replication process begins.

2. Is this just basically a DB copy utility to move the files to a standby server in order to make avail in case of a failure?

3. Whats the advantage over SQL log shipping?

4. Can the standby server have the SQL services running while this replication is going on?

5. Are there any resources that explain this, particularly to SQL Server??
